We’ve all heard that behind every great man there is a great woman. While I am still humbly evaluating the “great man”, I do want to acknowledge the great women behind our business and family. Today, Lisa M. Arnold, and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage and 27 years of life together on this earth. From the very beginning, it has been clear that God blessed me with the one and only women on earth to share this life. I could go on for day’s about how supportive of me Lisa has been and what a wonderful wife, mother, friend, and business partner she is. For years, while I climbed the corporate ladder of “success” and traveled, she rarely complained and always cared for our children. Upon transitioning to entrepreneurship, she has always been supportive, provided prayer, and wise council on how best to serve those we’ve been fortunate to be in relationship. Presently, she serves as a tremendous example of what it looks like to be a Godly wife and mother to the women in our community. While Lisa sometimes wrestles with acknowledging it, she is gifted in “leadership”. This is recognized by many who know her of which some call her “Chief” to remind her of the leader she is.
I would be remiss if I didn’t share our secret to a successful marriage. Over 25 years ago, Lisa and I sang Amy Grant’s song, Doubly Good to You. The chorus to this song is:
“You can thank the Father
For the things He has done
And thank him for the things He’s yet to do
And if you find a love that’s tender
If you find someone who’s true
Thank the Lord
He’s been doubly good to you
Thank the Lord
He’s been doubly good to you”
Yes, we do “Thank the Lord” for such a great partnership in life and know that it’s only through Him that we will continue to truly experience the joy that comes from such a wonderful relationship. It’s not always been easy, however, it’s nice to have this foundation to build upon.
So, I want you all to share in our celebration and know what a wonderful contribution this women is to those we’re surrounded. Thanks for the 27 years to date Babe and I look forward to the years ahead.
I love you, always and forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever etc.
